Two Positive Cases of COVID-19 in the Elementary School

Dear Hadley-Luzerne School Community,

Today, the District learned of two individuals in the Elementary School who have tested positive for COVID-19. These individuals will have to quarantine and be cleared by the Department of Health before returning to school. 

  • One individual was last in the Elementary building on January 8, 2021. Therefore, no further contact tracing within the building is required.

  • One individual was last in the Elementary building on January 19, 2021. Those in close proximity will be directly contacted by a school administrator to discuss quarantine procedures and other health-related instructions. 

Please note that The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other privacy laws restrict us from disclosing or confirming any personally identifiable information. We cannot identify anyone who has tested positive.

Our goal in sharing this information is to ensure that our district families are always up to date with what is happening in our community. This notification to parents and guardians is part of our commitment to keeping you informed about the spread of COVID-19 cases.
